Stephanie Fehr is an emerging actor, writer and filmmaker based in Northern Ontario. Born in St. Thomas, Ontario, raised in Dresden, Ontario, Stephanie has her artistic roots in the Ottawa Valley. Stephanie went farther north to pursue higher education at Canadore College in the Theatre Arts program. While there, she worked with such seasoned professionals as Chris Earle, Booth Savage and Gerry Mendicino. Stephanie also acted in such varied roles as Ethel in MOON OVER BUFFALO (Paradox Repertory Company), Ariel in ROUGH MAGIC (SOS), Doretta in CAN YOU SEE ME YET(Rep21), and Titania in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (Paradox Repertory Company). After graduating from theatre school in 2012, Stephanie turned her focus to film-making, becoming part of the inaugural class of Canadore's Digital Cinematography program. During her first semester she was a production assistant on the feature film ALGONQUIN which gave her the opportunity to work with Sheila McCarthy and Nicholas Campbell. In 2014, she initiated Northern Images Festival with a small group of North Bay filmmakers with the intent of showcasing northern talent in motion and still images. Since graduating, she has worked with went on to work with a diverse group of independent filmmakers and theatre artists such as Aanmitaagzi, On The Edge Fringe Festival, and White Water Gallery. She continues to pursue a career in filmmaking.
