Jo Ann was born in San Antonio Texas and raised in Gurnee, Illinois and attended Warren Township High School. She currently lives in Fayetteville, North Carolina with her husband and an 8 year old American Eskimo named Balto. Over the years she has been a Certified Nursing Assistant, a retail department manager and a special needs Teaching Assistant. In 1999 she rekindled the love of theater and writing, which had both been put aside to raise a family. She began working as a background actor on the television shows "Dawson's Creek" and "One Tree Hill" then in the movie "Radio". Since moving to Fayetteville she has become involved with the Gilbert Theater, where she had roles in "As You Like It" and "Macbeth" and assists in costume design(for which she won a local award) and The Sweet Tea Shakespeare Company as well as the "Chamberlains" a local acting workshop sponsored by Sweet Tea. Her recent work has been on "Beckinfield"- an experimental web series by theatric.com and Edge of Sanity also on the web. She has worked on the North Carolina filmed "Under the Dome" based on the Stephen King novel. additional roles include a starring role in a local student Film "On the Good Ship Lollipop", a supporting/background role in the soon to be released indie film "Epic Dream". She recently has begun the Seasons in Time production company which is working hard on the creative content step of it's first film production.
