Yun-Yun Lee is a Taiwanese-Canadian actress, who is best known for her Chinese reality show debut on Hidden Energy in 2015, where she won first place with her four rounds of monologues, and got her talents recognized by the judges, who are some of the most accomplished Chinese directors and actors, including Jackie Chan and Bing Bing Li. Lee went on to work with some of the biggest artists in TV series such as Against the Light, and The Arc of Life, where she fully embraced the dramatic and modern characters, that contributed to the diversified roles she has taken on that included a male slum leader, a heroine alien mother, a poisoned empress, an apocalyptic scientist, an aspiring pastry apprentice, a fable goddess, and many more. Lee's theatrical work started when she was eleven years old, when she played Lucy in the Chinese adaptation of Neil Simon's The Good-bye Girl, produced by the biggest theatre company in Taiwan, Godot Theatre Company. Later on, she continued to train for four years with Neil Simon's Last of the Red Hot Lovers (Act 1), as Elaine, and showcased it in Taipei with critically acclaimed reviews. Alongside with her successful actor father, Li-Chun Lee, as her acting coach and mentor, she has been actively working in the Chinese industry throughout the pandemic in 2021. She has worked in film, short film, commercials, TV series, online series, online movies, MVs, and plays. She bases herself in Shanghai, Taipei, and Vancouver, and is enrolled with The Ruskin School of Acting online for the Meisner technique. Her training also includes martial arts, American rhythm tap dance, drawing and painting, and vocal training.
