Emeson Nwolie is an actor, award winning film maker, singer-songwriter, producer, remixer and writer. He was an original member of the left field soul group LifeSize, alongside producer/singer-songwriter Uzo Madu (Beya Records) and jazz/soul session musician Chris Jerome (Julian Joseph, Courtney Pine) contributing writing and performing on tracks such as 'Awake' and 'Is This The World We Live In' whilst signed to Gangster Records in the nineties. He released his solo Bittersoul EP in 2004 and went on to release his self- financed Audiocentricities album in 2006. The Connect EP was released in 2007 and the following Equilibrium album in 2008 created within his former Lab Soulphonica studio base on the labels Nemesiamusic and Enceladus respectively. As a club and radio DJ, Emeson deejayed under the moniker DJ Ed Nice for many years both at home and abroad. It was as a DJ that he started to promote his own themed nights such as Urban Twang, Niche, Deep and NICE. Over the years as a club DJ he has been a DJ resident and guest DJ alongside Bobby & Steve, Norman Jay, Chris Rocka, Andy Vier, Touch of Class, Mark One and many other DJ luminaries. Having played at various soul, jazz, garage clubs such as 10 Rooms, Funky Buddah, Hanover Grand, Shuffles, Browns and Villa Stefano, Emeson was predominantly one of the resident DJ's at the popular celebrity venue The Spot in London. On radio, he has had radio shows such as The Rhythm Grind (LUR 101.2FM) and The Rhythm Experience (JFSR) and has compiled numerous guest mixes for radio stations and blogs such as Brooklyn Radio in New York, Twisted Soul, Dubmission, Just Jazz radio in Nigeria. Emeson is the founder of the Sleeves series of music compilations available on Mixcloud featuring a cross section of genres including jazz, reggae, house, soul, funk and also specialist live compilations from volumes 1 to 100. The Sleeves compilation originated from the Album Covers social group of which he was also the founder. Always the singer-songwriter and producer, Emeson financed his equipment and subsequent productions via DJ'ing and various temporary jobs. These musical excursions and productions have led Emeson to either produce, guest, remix, feature and write for a number of artists such as Peter Gabriel (Shock the Monkey Emeson Remix) and the colossal jazz great Chico Hamilton (Language Universal) Emeson went on to join the soul band The One (Double Life EP, Who Are You CD) as singer-songwriter and lead vocalist, supporting the likes of Quadron and La Roux whilst playing live at Ronnie Scott's, Shunt, Catch, Cargo, Old Blue Last and many more venues. He released a double album entitled extrasolar* in 2012 on 24thCenturyRecords featuring the tracks 'Supernova', 'Sun-Ra' and 'I Have Come To Love You' and in 2014, Emeson returned with his solo Bespoke EP. He was part of the Saturn's Children ensemble and featured on the BBE (On Deck 3) and Tokyo Dawn (The Heart Vol3) compilations Emeson also produced the Carla Duke music project and featured as singer-songwriter and composer. He has worked as part of the Profusion Music project culminating in a release of their 'Where Do I Begin?' album, acoustic remix EP and remix EP on First Word Records. Emeson also produced the stunning debut '777' EP from supreme soul singer-songwriter and actress Shai Soul-Wright and he also creates, remixes and produces solo material and music under the 'Dreeeemweaver' pseudonym. As an actor and support artist, Emeson has appeared in box office films such as Paddington 2, Rogue One : A Star Wars Story, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers 2 - Age of Ultron, Kingsman : The Secret Service, and US television drama documentaries such as Manhunt : Kill or Capture and on UK television soap, Eastenders He played US veteran 'Larry' in the Philadelphia based documentary ,Suspicion (Slaughter on the Schuylkill) and is also one of the actors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe who has portrayed different characters. Emeson played the lead role as Detective Inspector Faulkner in the short film 'NiNA' directed by HKB Finn, appeared in TV drama Damilola, Our Loved Boy on UK television and also played Detective Brad Philips in award winning director Kamil Iwanowicz's film 'Wake' As a film maker, Emeson has written and directed the horror film 'The Super' and collected the Mobile 61 award at the Beertown Film Festival for his sci-fi short film 'Skywatcher'
