Joshua Longhurst

Joshua Longhurst is a director, producer and writer raised in Young, NSW. His writing debut Ravage (2012) premiered in the Dendy Short Film Competition at Sydney Film Festival (2013). His directorial debut Oasis (2016) (2016) premiered on ABC2 and won the Emerging Filmmaker Award at both the Mardi Gras Film Festival and the Melbourne Queer Film Festival. Joshua co-produced and directed Cherry Season (2018) (2018) with production support from Create NSW; Generator Emerging FIlmmakers Fund, SBS Australia and Executive Producers CJZ. In 2019, Joshua was selected by Create NSW to attend the Melbourne International Film Festival Accelerator Director's Lab alongside emerging directors from Australia and New Zealand. He is producing the comedy web series Ding Dong I'm Gay (2018) with development support from Create NSW and Screen Australia.
