Paul Mackie

A Glasgow based, screenwriter and director looking for representation. Since graduating from SAE Institute in 2015, Paul has worked on a large variety of short films, feature films and TV. He took on many roles including working as a Production Assistant on zombie apocalypse film REDCON-1 (streaming on Amazon Prime) and as a Camera Operator on low budget thriller Cleek (streaming on Amazon Prime). In 2017, he moved into the Locations Department for Marvel's Avengers Infinity War, Netflix's Outlaw King, and Hobbs and Shaw. In between those bigger projects he found time to production manage two award-winning short films, Mia: A Rapture 2.0 and Regrets, as well as serving as First AD for two feature films, low budget sci-fi Flux and thriller Convergence (streaming on Amazon Prime), which won best feature film at BIFF. His most recent studio project was Netflix's Eurovision starring Will Ferrell (AD Department). His TV/commercial work includes X Factor, Thronecast, Ladbrokes and Mango, among many others. Projects he worked on that are soon to be released include Universal's Fast 9 (Locations Department). Between jobs, he writes features and TV pilots on spec, looking to direct his first feature film in 2022
