Víctor Arcturus Estrella is a Dominican actor, writer, rapper, and interdisciplinary artist. He is a graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where he studied an MA in Acting for Screen. As a member of the Dominican-based theatre company Teatro Utopía he has devised and performed in several plays that have been shown at national and international theatre festivals. His training includes physical theatre, masks, and comedy. Short films he has starred in have screened at festivals such as New Orleans Film Festival, Miami Film Festival, Guadalajara International Film Festival and Outfest. His award-winning short stories appear in various anthologies. He is drawn to speculative fiction and Afro-Caribbean themes. He was the lead vocalist and songwriter of La Ñapa, an experimental hip-hop collective characterised for their experimentation with Afro-Caribbean rhythms and cutting socio-political criticism. He wrote and played the lead role in ZEMI (2023), a British-Dominican short-film.
