The most ambitious and visually distinctive filmmaker to emerge from Australia in the past 40 years. Kevin Khachan was born in Sydney Australia and was quickly drawn to the art of Cinema from a very young age after watching Jaws (1975) on VHS. He studied film at SAE Film School then later achieved a Masters Degree in film production from Sydney University, Kevin is currently completing a thesis on Frankenmedia: "Frankenstein and the multimodality of the slasher". He attracted international attention with his very first feature, Red Rabbit Lodge. A highly creative and award winning director Kevin has often been descried as a young Dario Argento. Kevin then traveled to Prague Czech Republic to shoot his second feature film one that he wrote and directed Remnants set to hit the festival circuit early 2022. In addition to this he has written and directed Box Metaphor (2022) along with directing True Love (2023) pilot. Kevin will also be directing a documentary for National Geographic, Botanical Adventures (2021).
