Yichun Chen

Yichun Chen is a Chinese Actress who based in Paris. Yichun was born in Luoyang, Henan Provence, China. Her parents are of Chinese, Korean and Mongolian descent. She's fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English and speaks some French. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in China she went on to pursue her artistic career in Beijing, where she worked as a performer in Chinese Opera at the General Political Department of Opera. She got to sing in front of Jintao Hu, then President of China. After a nationwide audition, she was cast in the very first original comedy musical of China produced by Mahua Funage: Bai Ri Meng, in which she plays the lead Bai Yang. The show was very popular and successful in China. She went on working as a volunteer in the Qinghai region after the Yushu earthquake. There, she was personally picked to play a supporting role in her first feature film, "Yushu Story". Then she made her feature debut in the Stephen Chow's movie "Journey to the West, Conquering the Demons". A year later, she was spotted by a casting director while visiting Paris and got cast as a flight attendant in Luc Besson's Lucy. In 2016, she lived in Los Angeles for a year and auditioned for the role of Mulan in Disney's live-action movie "Mulan", for Kitty Pong in Warner Brother's "Crazy Rich Asians", and for Luna in Warner Brother's short film "Luna". She has been based in Paris since 2018.
