Stephen Pucci was born in Northampton, England, the third son of two school teacher parents. He grew up and went to school in the English county of Buckinghamshire, and later completed a degree in Modern Chinese Studies at The University of Leeds, after which Stephen moved to Shanghai, China. He then returned to London to attend The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, graduating in 2009. Throughout his life, Stephen has travelled widely, working and training in various locations all over the world. His great-grandfather, having moved from the central Province of Frosinone in Italy in 1905, settled in Aberdeenshire on the east coast of Scotland - a region with which he maintains strong ties. Stephen recently finished filming THE RECEPTIONIST, directed by Jenny Lu - set for release in 2017. He has previously appeared on stage, in and off the West End, as well as on Broadway. His performance in David Henry Hwang's production of CHINGLISH earned him widespread critical praise, with The New Yorker hailing him as "a real star in the making."
