Justin Parrish was born and raised in Richmond, VA. He is the middle child of three boys. Justin started acting at a very young age, in Christmas plays which were written by him and put on at Christmas Eve parties by the family. One year the family rented out rooms at a hotel for the annual Christmas Eve party and performed the play in the lobby for the families who were traveling during the holidays. This is when he decided that Acting was his dream. He was accepted into Henrico High School's Center For the Arts and graduated in 2008. In his final semester, he balanced his final high school performance and his debut professional play simultaneously. His role as lead, Nelson, in the original play by Derome Scott, "Charcoal Street," was widely praised. Justin went on to do many more plays with African American Repertory Theatre, most notably for his roles as Youngblood in "Jitney" and "Fences" by August Wilson. At 18, Justin gained representation by Modelogic Wilhelmina, and quickly getting to work as a principle in a Water Country Commercial and number Print Ads. Justin attended Longwood University for one year, where he starred as Leroy in "The Trial Of One Short-sighted Black Woman Versus Mammy Louise And Safreeta Mae" before transferring to Virginia Commonwealth University's School of the Arts, which is the #1 Ranked Public school for Art and Design. As a freshmen, he was in a Mainstage Production of "Grapes of Wrath." Justin continued acting in numerous productions throughout his college career, while acquiring a Bachelor of Art in Theatre Performance, a Bachelor of Science in Pre-grad Psychology, and a minor in Creative Writing. After graduating December 2013, he moved to Los Angeles, CA, where he currently resides.
