Born in Tucson, Arizona, on April 11, 1982, as Fernando Duran, made his debut as an actor at the age of four in the film The Three Amigos (1986), partially filmed in Old Tucson. However during filming, he was found to be too young for the role and would come to fill the right size shoes in time. Being part of a military family and constant change, Fernando was thought to be very shy and introverted in his early childhood and adolescence. During his sophomore year in Ventura, CA., he overcame shyness through the means of Thornton Wilder's "Our Town" and from that moment, he had instantly transformed into a charismatic, witty and widely social extroverted personality that is clearly seen, even to this day. Realizing his unrelenting gravitational draw and connection to performing, he immersed in theatre/stage and the performing arts at the age of 16, leading Duran to study acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse Acting School as well as reaching a Theater Arts Major from UCSB before eventually migrating North to Washington State. Fernando overcame countless challenges, trials and tribulations, from being abused as a young child, being destitute -- to loss and homelessness. Moving from California to Washington State, Duran was dedicated to persistence and perseverance of his dream. Brushing the dust and dirt off his shoulders, he stood up and put himself right back where he was comfortable: On Stage. Fernando Duran built the bulk and majority of his theatrical experience and resume throughout 2000-2008, focusing on performing and crafting his skill. Driven to make a name for himself, Duran found himself performing show after show; doing 16 different plays/musicals in a three year period in 2003-2006. After then, Duran was positively well known through the theatre circles in Island County, Fidalgo and Skagit County. The public openly welcomed and placed their undivided attention on his quickly growing theatrical repertoire, that now extends to over 30 plays. Fernando continues to perform on stage currently. Duran slowed his stage work in 2007, after the birth of his first daughter. His devotion to fatherhood was second to none, prioritizing his child and focusing his attention and time to her. In 2012, Fernando became a second-time father to a son. Both children are the source of inspiration and feed him the motivation, dedication and determination to not only fulfill his dream for himself, but for his children as well. Vowing to never let his children live and endure the hardships he lived through, he was evermore determined for the benefit of his heirs. In 2012, Duran redirected his attention to film and television, where he built relationships with the Seattle market. In the first five months of the 2013 year, Fernando Duran was selected to appear in three feature films being filmed in the Seattle area, "Lucky Them" (2014), "Seven Minutes" (2014) and "Laggies" (2014). To maintain remarkable productivity in growing his career and obtaining larger roles continues to be his ambition and goal. In addition to acting, Fernando Duran has also pursued a cinematic mini-career, producing shorts and sketches on YouTube. He also has extended the videography skills into creating marketing materials for businesses in his community and surrounding communities. Duran thrives on being considered the social catalyst and finds himself constantly in the public's positive attention. Fernando Duran welcomes anyone and everyone, always seeming to be approachable and friendly.
