Sebastien Skubala is a hot young actor and singer/songwriter from Australia known for his dramatic roles in numerous short films doing the international festival circuit. Sebastien was born in Queensland, Australia and his first role on screen was at age 9 in the short film Janos (2015) which had its world premiere in the Short Film Corner at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. Sebastien also appeared in one of the first episodes of the cult series Wastelander Panda (2012) and had a role in the comedy short The Gentlemen's Club (2014). In 2021, Sebastien will be seen in the films Nighthawks, Dipsomaniac, Possum, and Dante's Office. Sebastien played lead in Down to Earth which premiered in 2020 at CinéfestOZ, and screened at Toronto Independent Film Festival, Show Me Shorts New Zealand, and Edinburgh Independent Film Awards, with more festivals to come in 2021. Down to Earth was nominated for 7 South Australian Screen Awards, winning Best Cinematography and Best Hair & Make Up. Previous film roles include lead in A Dirty Mirror, winner of Best Script at the 2018 Fleurieu Film Festival, Old Saint Nick (2016) and Today? (2016), which premiered at the 2017 Little Big Shots International Film Festival for Kids. Sebastien co-wrote and co-starred in the short film Deadline Demon (2017) which was a 2017 Trop Jr finalist. On the stage Sebastien played Willie Thornhill in the Helpmann Award winning play The Secret River, directed by Neil Armfield as part of the 2017 Adelaide Festival. In 2019 he appeared in the original play Well Shut My Mouth with the Adelaide Repertory Theatre. Sebastien's previous stage roles include Edgar in the Australian premiere of Bracken Moor, a play written by Alexi Kaye Campbell which is being adapted for the screen and Michael Banks in the South Australian premiere of Mary Poppins the Broadway Musical. In 2021 he will be appearing in the South Australian premiere of Jessica Swale's Blue Stockings for Red Phoenix Theatre. Sebastien was among the Top 100 of the Australian season of The Voice Kids and in 2018 he released his first original song Hide Yourself. In 2020 he collaborated with The Voice Kids winner Alexa Curtis on a cover version of the song If The World Was Ending, originally sung by JP Saxe and Julia Michaels.
