Moldovan-born Alexander Karavay immigrated with his family to California at the age of 9. He studied theatre & film at CSU Sacramento, the Stella Adler Art of Acting Studio in Los Angeles, & Steppenwolf West. Inspired by the teachings of Jeff Perry, Kim Rubinstein, Alexandra Billings, Evelyn Case, David Razowsky, Monica Payne, and Stewart Pearce at the Steppenwolf West month long intensive at CSU Summer Arts - he has helped co-found the experimental Scrap Metal Theatre company with an inaugural performance of Fool For Love by Sam Shepard. The play was rehearsed and performed on a site specific location in the Mojave Desert.
