Growing up, Donnie Vincent would hear his dad tell of silent stalks through the woods of northern Maine. And night after night, his eyes would flit over the pages of Jack O'Connor's stories, burning into his impressionable memory the images of horse pack trains and hunters taping out ram horns by lantern light. So it was only natural he'd stake his own claim to a life of adventure. The best way to do that was with a Wildlife Biology degree. His work took him to Bangladesh and Nepal, where he studied Bengal Tigers. And to Alaska, where he powered through five-month stints in a two-man tent to study spawning salmon. He immersed himself in wilderness and never felt more alive. When research projects would come to an end, he'd fly to the Arctic Circle and chase Caribou with his bow. Today, Donnie has no shortage of his own tales to tell. Ask him about Russian Snow Sheep, or Yukon Moose, or Grizzlies, or Dall Sheep. He's kept pretty busy chasing wild creatures in extraordinarily wild places. Donnie began filming his hunts to share the experiences, and ultimately assembled a digital production a company called Sicmanta. Donnie and his team are ever striving to produce ground-breaking imagery and hunt stories that swell the heart and flood the arteries.
