Sahar was born in the Iranian capital of Tehran, but left with her family when she was four to escape the Iranian Revolution. They soon settled in the United States. Her parents instilled in her the value of education, and she graduated from Pepperdine with an MBA. After a few years working on the corporate side of Hollywood, she decided to seriously pursue her love of acting. In addition, she enjoys writing and producing TV pilots and short films.
