Adam Nelson

Adam Nelson is a film director, screenwriter and producer whose creative voice is deeply shaped by small town, Midwestern roots and an upbringing in theatre. He is regularly drawn to narratives that explore isolated characters in search of community. Often taking form in the spine of understated, carefully bent character dramas, Adam's films are defined by a fundamentally personal voice that hints toward hope in the wake of uncertainty. As a filmmaker, Adam has been fortunate to travel the world to share and create stories that have gone on to garner international accolade. He has recently directed works shot across Los Angeles, New York City, Toronto, London, Berlin, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand. Adam recently began casting his feature length debut, his narrative drama Finders, which he penned and will direct, and is executive produced by Randy Manis (Lawless, Kill Your Darlings). Adam also collaborates with Academy Award-winning producer John Carls (Where the Wild Things Are) to develop a slate of animated and live-action feature films and television series in partnership with various major studios. Adam directs commercials for global brands around the world between narrative film projects.
