Edeen Bhugeloo was born on 29 September, 1988, in Mauritius, to Rosebee Bhugeloo and Ekramoolah Bhugeloo. He attended the University of Technology of Mauritius where he completed a degree in communication. Edeen was always interested in Arts and found that acting could be his thing. He hunted for Festivals, Workshops and Theatre and Short Movies in a country where the 7th Art was near extinction. Since then, he has starred in a lot of plays, series and feature films. He started his acting career in 2007 with the theatrical troupe Lesgenfoires. He played Pomme le Sage in Arc-En-Ciel (2007) for the National Drama Festival and was awarded with The Most Promising Young Actor award. He then starred in Les Chapeaux Magique (2008), Solution dan ou Lame (2008) with the Mauritius Drama Club, Bethlehem (2008). In 2011 he started voice acting for several TV Series. In 2011 Edeen met director Jon Rabaud and starred in The Short Film, The Encounter (2012) where he played a troubled teenager alongside Guillaume Silavant and Vinaya Sungkur. The Encounter was a movie that changed the Mauritian cinema industry forever. In 2013 he starred in Theatre pour Animaux with Vinaya Sungkur (Jean-Michel Ribes). In 2014 he starred in Fish Out of Water (S.Gobin) and several short movies in workshops for the Ile Courts Film Festival. In 2015 Edeen was back on stage with Minuit (2015). Starred in short movie Eye Opener (2015) In 2016, Edeen starred in, Play it again Sam/Une Aspirine pour deux by Francis Perrin. His first long feature was a Bollywood film The Comeback (2016) directed by Sharvan Anenden. In late 2017, Edeen makes his Hollywood debut in Steven Knight movie Serenity and shared a line with Matthew Mcconaughey. One of his wishes was to work with the best in the world. So far Edeen, ticked a lot from his bucket list. He wanted more from his country, from the Mauritian Cinema. Due to the implementation of a rebate scheme, many movies and TV-Series came to Mauritius. Mauritian Cinema was then a thing. Local movies just raised the level and Edeen starred as main character more often. In 2018 Corruption pas ziss concern kass Director: Vishesh Sunveek and was Awarded the Best Professional Actor for the ICAC Short Film Competition 2018 in 2019 DAÏNES Director: Gopalen Chellapermal and Totem Director: Crystel Maurymoothoo. Those movies were high quality short films produce in Mauritius. As from 2018 to 2020 Edeen, starred as small parts in Singleholic, Horizon Line, Lisa Redler and Amor de Madre Finally in 2021, Edeen starred as big roles in two local incoming feature films, The Blue Penny, Jon Rabaud and Gazing at the Stars, David Constantin.
