Antonio Di Martino, aka DIMARTINO, originally from Misilmeri, in the province of Palermo, was born in 1982. In 1998 he formed the band Famelica. In 2010 he began his solo career under the pseudonym Dimartino, and released 3 albums, warmly received by both public and critics. Dimartino is also a writer: in 2019 his first novel, "Un mondo raro", was published. In 2019 he released the album "Afrodite". Since 2020 he has worked with Colapesce (with whom he has written many successful songs for artists such as Levante, Marracash, Malika Ayane and others). In 2020 the duo released the album "I mortali", collaborating with Carmen Consoli on the single "Luna araba". The duo participated in Sanremo 2021 with the song "Musica Leggissima" which set a number of records (5 platinum discs in Italy, 8 consecutive weeks in first place on the radio charts, five weeks at the top of the FIMI singles sales charts, as well as topping the streaming charts). The song was translated into Spanish, becoming a hit in Spain as well (2 platinum discs). In 2022, with Colapesce, he appeared on the track "Propaganda" by Fabri Fibra. Also in 2022, for Tiziano Ferro, he wrote the song "La splendida vita" with Brunori Sas. Both songs topped the radio charts.
