David Callans

Making his way from Detroit to San Diego, his passion for entertaining led him to try stand up comedy in 2006 and he's been at it ever since, with some notable accomplishments: finalist in several local competitions, and opening for Dave Attell and David Alan Grier. He also wrote and directed for his own sketch comedy group, The Shaft. Although friendly and good-natured, his look got him noticed by some local production companies who started casting him in tough-guy roles. Initially these roles were background characters with minimal dialogue, but as his experience grew his roles increased. Look for him in more high-profile appearances in 2014.
