Sukanti born as Stephania Sanquiz is an Actor, Singer, Dancer, Animal Advocate and Environmentalist. Sukanti is a name in Sanskrit that means: "the most loved one, the most loved voice of Vrindaban" (Vrindaban is a sacred place in India). She was born in December 9th, in Caracas, Venezuela, raised by Gabriela Donelli, widow mother and business woman. Having Italian nationality inherited by her grandmother who fled second world war and went to live in Venezuela, she grew up under Italian family in Coro, Falcón and at the age of 17 she moved to Caracas motivated by her burning desire of being an Artist. In Caracas she was granted a scholarship to study acting for film in RCTV (Radio Caracas Television) after her famous controversial audition that lead her between the last 8 participants in the singing tv show: "Fame, Sweat and Tears". She started to work in Soap Operas like "Mi Prima Ciela" before the dictatorial government closed the television channel. Fleeing from a dictatorship system in Venezuela, Sukanti moved to New York, the place she always dreamed off. Completing two years conservatory of Musical Theater & Acting for Film in New York Film Academy with a scholarship she starred in the role of Holly, in the Off-Broadway Musical "The Wedding Singer" in Conelly Theater, East Village, Manhattan. Working in short films and film musicals like "StartUp.com" in New York she continued her work as a songwriter creating pop music and promoting independently her very first single: "Magic is Here", a pop song that reached position N*1 Top Latino in the Official Billboard "Record Report" in Venezuela. "Magic Is Here" video clip became one of the most popular videos in "HTV Música", the biggest Latin American Music Channel. Recently played "Rita" in "Marriage Material", an Academy Award nominee film musical, the very first movie musical in the history of American Film Institute! Touched by her experiences living in India in 2008, where she found a spiritual master who taught her service and gave purpose to her life, she started developing goodwill projects and now living in Los Angeles, California, she wants to educate communities in precarious conditions through art. "I'm an Artist but service is my impetus", said Sukanti in one of her interviews.
