He was born in KZN, in area known as Nqabeni, in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. He is passionate about community development and has just won SAFTA 2016 Special Recognition Award as the best Provincial Development Initiator. He has been the jury member for the South African Film and Television Awards from 2015 to 2017. He has entrepreneurship spirit, an international businessman with vast experience in the establishment of new businesses and international relationships. He did business management studies at Chicago State University in 2004 and Bcom Accounting at the University of Zululand. He has proven himself as one of the most intelligent Zulu man from his early ages as all his tertiary studies were paid for by bursary companies and through scholarships. He is the founder and chairman of the most respected events in remote rural areas known as Ugu Film Festival in 2013. He grew up watching Action films, Jet Li and Jean Claude van Damme were his inspirational action stars when he was growing up, Tony Jaa (Tatchakorn Yeerum formerly Phanom Yeerum) was added on his list in 2007 as he triggered actions that made him to be where he is today. His passion started at the age of 17years in 1999 where he was a photographer specializing in events. His business grew in his village, loved by people but one of his high school teachers advised him to leave the photography business, focus on his studies so he can get bursary after matric, then come back to do the same business in a big international standard. He followed those instructions although it was a hard decision to take, managed to pass his matric with merit and received bursaries to study in USA. In 2007 he wrote a HIV & AIDS play that was performed by students from Durban University of Technology. In the same year, he wrote two fiction films, in 2008 titled The Dissolver and The Big Five . He wrote four local TV films for Mnet Mzansi Magic that were produced and directed by him in 2010. He is the first young Zulu man that has managed to create a successful international relation between Thailand and South Africa which is specializing with action films, Red Cargo is the first film produced under this relationship.
