Michelle Cohl is a model, actress, singer/songwriter, rapper, voiceover, brand ambassador and more in the Metro Detroit area. Recently hosting and coordinating the first Entertainer's Networking Event in Detroit of June 2018, Michelle helped many in the Metro-Detroit entertainment industry gain meaningful friendships and secure job offers. At the event, Michelle offered a place for local filmmakers to display their demo reels along with a giant actor headshot wall, award-winning fashion designs, and even had stations for musicians to show off their music in case they needed music videos shot. Call her the Jill-of-all-Trades, Michelle turned heads at the DETROIT Movie Red Carpet premiere attending with HOUR Magazine designer of the year, Matthew Richmond, in their own-designed Metro Times paper dress, making headlines. Michelle has been seen modeling these dresses before as well as walking the runway, working side-by-side with Detroit's finest designers, small businesses, local photographers and more. Michelle has also appeared in a plethora of films as a featured extra, commercials, and music videos, including recently trending CMT's "Sing Along" for Sugarland's Kristian Bush. Going viral with her Facebook selfie-video, Michelle began to focus on music under the name Miishi. Known for inspiring others around her, Michelle is seen as a positive-force in the Metro Detroit area, constantly connecting with others and volunteering for charity events whenever time allows. Aside from the "big 3", Michelle is a full-time Executive/Personal Assistant of 9 years to Coldwell Banker Weir Manuel Birmingham's Realtor, Teri Spiro, who was awarded 2014 Realtor in Politics, 2015 Top Innovator and 2017 Member of the Year. Prior to that Michelle worked at Radio Disney Detroit in the promotions department and once a talent position opened up she auditioned and took the lead as Host/Emcee working for the Tiger's, Children's Hospital and more until the station shut-down in 2015. Her friends describe her as a workaholic but Michelle is the first to state that she is blessed to receive these opportunities and looks forward to what will happen next. With every opportunity that comes her way, Michelle shows excitement and mettle. Michelle was born in Garden City, Michigan to Susan Marie Landmesser and Michael Leslie Cohl and has two older siblings, Amber and Matthew. Her parents divorced while Michelle was at a young age but her mother Susan remarried to Phillip Reed, father of MTV's Jillian Rose Reed. Although the marriage between the two did not last, Michelle and Jillian stayed friends. Being bullied and outcast from children growing up, Michelle focused solely on her family life and turned to her true love, writing, to find an escape. Creativity always found Michelle in the darkest situations but it was then that young Michelle proclaimed to motivate those around her regardless of their past or appearance, and to follow her dreams even if odds fell against her, and it seemed they did. In 2005 Michelle's childhood home was foreclosed upon forcing her and her family into a life with no dwelling. Through these hardening times Michelle was forced to grow up quickly feeling the need to take care of her family, although in 2009 it seemed things were beyond her control. Michelle took care of her ill father for 3 years before he passed away in 2009 but instead of soaking in sorrows she used the tragedy as a catalyst toward her dreams. To this day Michelle still considers her father as one of her biggest supporters. We expect to see big things coming from Michelle, and as many people have said, including her boss at Radio Disney, "I have no doubt Michelle will be accomplishing many successes throughout her career!"
