Benjamin Newham

Benjamin Newham is an actor from Cheltenham, UK. He first found his passion for acting at a young age, when performing at his local theatre in a production of Wind and The Willow, the Toad of Toad Hall. After being cast as Oliver at his secondary school production, he went on to study drama at school before transitioning away from acting and getting involved with music. Benjamin went on to spend the next 10 years playing drums in alternative rock band, Divine Secret. They performed at some of the UK's the most prestigious festivals such as Reading and Leeds, Download and Glastonbury. Once his music career ended, Benjamin decided to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a screen actor. He began to study his new craft, self learning the teachings of Stanislavski, Strasberg and Meisner. In 2015, Benjamin attended acting workshops with Dustin Hoffman and also with Mel Churcher at Pinewood Studios. He has since written and produced On The River 2018 and acted in other short films. He had a small German speaking role in SSGB 2017.
