David Buttery

David Anthony Buttery (Born September 9th, 1986) is an American actor, born and raised in Ames, IA. He is the only male child of Claudia Lemon and Richard Buttery, and he is the oldest sibling to sisters Alex Buttery and Rachel Buttery. David was a very quiet and shy child growing up, and he spent a lot of his time drawing, writing or studying martial arts. He currently possesses a 1st degree Black Belt in Tai Kwon Do, and an Intermediate Ranking in Iaijutsu and Aikijujutsu. He is also versed in Pilipino Arnes and Russian Systema. He initially attended Ames High School, but he dropped out half way through his senior year. In 2005, he finished his high school education at Denison Job Corps Center in Denison, IA in 2006 where he also did trade studies for welding. In 2008, David got married and lived in Colorado Springs, CO and then in Kearney, NE in 2010, but then he divorced in 2011 and moved to Ankeny, IA and then later that year to Tucson, AZ. He worked odd jobs to support himself during that time, including plumbing, retail cashier, caricature drawing, and cooking, but he often times did food delivery as a means for income. It was the support and encouragement of his coworkers and customers, as well as his family, that pushed him to pursue acting, and in 2013 he got a chance to break into the experience by acting in a couple student short films for Pima Community College. He strives to better himself as an actor. David currently resides in Ankeny, IA.
