Nathan studied Radio and Television at Fort Hayes Career Center in Columbus, Ohio and went on to study cinema at Ohio State University. His first major film effort was Parchegona (2002), which went on to win best Long Format Drama at the 2004 Envoy Film Festival. His next film was In Other Words (2009), which was an official selection at the 2009 International Christian Film Festival. He has taught Video Production at Harvest Preparatory School and Canal Winchester High School.
