Arjen Westra

Arjen Westra (11 May 1970) is a Dutch journalist/writer/photographer/screenwriter, working and living on the African continent. Westra is known for writing three guidebooks on the continent and several contributions to radio-shows and media as a photographer and writer. Westra sees screen writing as a natural step in his evolution as a story teller. Traditional media don't give you the control you have. The issues are the same, but the medium is different. May 2015, Westra is working on the script for a short movie with the working title The Lie and the feature length movie Nairobi Nights (working title). The last one together with award winning Kenyan filmmaker/director Samuel Oluoko.
