Dawn Robinson is a Producer-Writer in Television and Theatrical Film, recognized for producing and writing music biopics, television specials and non-scripted docuseries, most notably HBO's The Monster Ball for Lady Gaga, The CW's America's Next Top Model, A+E's Beyoncé and Guns N' Roses: The Story, Vh1's Behind the Music, E! Channel's Married To Rock series, as well as Universal Pictures' theatrical release Gunners. Known for being well connected and delivering the goods earlier than most and on budget, Dawn has forged the way for over 25 years of successful spark and hustle in advertising and entertainment. Robinson recently segued from non-scripted programming to original scripted series, partnering with Executive Producers Tim Gibbons (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Real Husbands of Hollywood) and Kathy Landsberg (Jett, Looking, Scream, Conan, The Nanny). Robinson has packaged, produced, and written multiple scripted series including Blindfold and Out of The Blue (based on real-life memoirs she penned). In 2019, she partnered on an incubator. Additionally, her Corporate Governance background supports her deal making activities, through previously held Chief Marketing Officer and Executive roles in major corporations including IDT Telecommunication, Macy's, Etienne Aigner, BCBG and Calvin Klein, as well as a talent agent alumnus of William Morris and Creative Artist agencies. Robinson started as a Talent rep developing music icons, and her roster of clients has included Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Victoria and David Beckham, Kim Kardashian, Guns N Roses, Nine Inch Nails and Rob Zombie. She began her television career animating and editing for Blue Sky, CBS, HBO and Time Warner, where she worked for a few years, rising through the ranks while learning her craft. She holds an Advertising and Film Bachelors from the School of Visual Arts and an MBA from New York University, and has spoken to students at both Alma maters as well as at UCLA and CSUN. She is a strong champion of women's rights and LGBT issues, frequently participating in mentorship programs and panels for arts and diversity organizations, especially those focused around advocating for gender equality and domestic violence eradication. She organized the World Peace Caravan Concert initiative in Israel and Jordan, and also served on the Board for non-profit organization Columcille, where she organized entertainment, spiritual mindfulness and wellness events, women's retreats, and workshops. She is a member of the Television Academy, PGA, WGA, WIF, NYWIFT and WIMPS. Robinson is represented by the law firm Del Shaw, Moonves, Tanaka, Finkelstein & Lezcano.
