Mike's first script, "Smilers" has placed in numerous national writing competitions, including finishing in the top 1% of Scriptapalooza, a Bronze Comedy Award from Page International, and a first place win in THE "Contest of Contests" a competition limited to writers who have placed in Nicholl & other screen writing competitions. "Rough Justice", a thriller about a serial killer who targets irresponsible CEO's, was a quarter-finalist in the Nicholl screenplay competition. Mike's horror/thriller, "Rock Paper, Scissors", has been optioned and is in development with Fidelity Films.
