Jake Scott Blakely was born on November 3, 1997, in San Luis Obispo, California, to Denise Palermo, a teacher, and Roger Blakely, a computer programmer. He grew up and went to school in San Luis Obispo until he graduated San Luis Obispo High School in 2016. Prior to starting high school, he met his acting coach Aaron Michael Metchik who introduced him to the acting industry and sparked Jake's passion for acting. Jake has been interested in acting since elementary school, where he performed in various plays, as well as attending theater classes. In middle school, Jake met Aaron Michael Metchik who coached Jake and eventually brought him to Hollywood to perform a dialogue in front of an audience that had several agents. One of the agents, Annette Robinson, contacted Jake and set up an appointment to meet him. Later that month, Jake Blakely signed with Artistic Talent and he began submitting for projects in Los Angeles. Jake and his family, soon found out that submitting for projects in Los Angeles, while living in San Luis Obispo, was not ideal. Since Jake was still a minor, his mother drove him to auditions in Los Angeles from their house in San Luis Obispo, which was over two hundred miles away. Over time, the drive became a hassle to work around his school schedule and his mother's work schedule, so he decided not to renew the contract with his former agency. Jake continued acting in school projects as well as film projects with his friends, however, he put his LA acting career on hold until after he graduated high school. After graduating high school, Jake Blakely moved to Long Beach and continued self-submitting for projects. Jake enrolled as a student at Long Beach City College with his schedule composed of mainly online courses that have allowed him to have a flexible schedule for acting. On screen, Jake Blakely has appeared in numerous Proactiv X Out commercials, an episode of Big Time Rush (2009), three music videos, self-filmed shorts with his friends, and a UCLA short film. His training includes many theater classes he attended throughout school, three workshops taught by Aaron Michael Metchik, as well as continuous coaching from Aaron. He attended classes at The Groundlings Theatre & School in 2012 where he refined his improvisation skills with the help of his teacher Kate Frisbee. Jake Blakely later used these skills to claim a spot in the improv troop at his local high school after auditioning for the part against eighty other students. After graduating Highschool, Jake began attending classes with Ajarae Coleman and is currently enrolled in her classes (February 2017 - July 2017). Outside of acting, Jake Blakely is an entrepreneur who is always working on creative projects and finding new hobbies. His hobbies outside of acting include but are not limited to, composing music, working out, designing vector images for companies or individuals, website design, coding, and reading self-help and philosophy books.
