Susan Schmidt

Susan is a highly experienced creative executive with a broad filmmaking and business background. Independently and until recently as Head of Production and Business Affairs at Mint Pictures she oversaw physical productions and managed all aspects including funding, production and distribution, and as part of the team built a highly regarded factual production company. Recent productions include the phenomenal slow TV, 'The Ghan', Walkley winning 'Code Of Silence', Foxtel's acclaimed blue chip arts series 'The Archibald'l, SBS documentary 'The Secret Life Of Death' and 'Country Town Pride', and documentary series 'The Pool' for ABC. Susan holds an Degree in Commerce and Media Production (double major), a Masters in Media Production, and a Post Grad Advanced Diploma in Transmedia/Online Producing which focused on such as AR, VR and cutting edge technology production. She is deeply qualified across both the business and creative of film and television production. She is producing the scripted feature film 'Little Tornadoes', consulting producer on a modern Shakespeare scripted film, and working in development across a slate of projects including drama features and factual and drama television series.
