Salvador Sunyer Vidal studied Humanities at Pompeu Fabra University and graduated in the documentary specialty at ESCAC. In 2012 he joined the production company Nanouk Films (Barcelona) as a partner, executive producer and director. As of that moment, some of the films of Nanouk have been recognized in festivals like Sundance, San Sebastián or Locarno (Prize of The Jury). In 2014 he directed and scripted the documentary film Bugarach, co-produced by Nanouk Films, Filmtank (Germany), Televisió de Catalunya and Televisión Española TVE. It was awarded with FIPRESCI in St Petersburg 2014 and nominated for best documentary film at the Gaudí 2015 Awards. It was also selected at the Hot Docs Toronto, Visions du Réel Nyon, Europe Awards, IDFA Amsterdam, Best of FESTS, Dok Leipzig, DocumentaMadrid and DocsBarcelona. His passion for the world of the performing arts has led him to work alongside international artists such as Àlex Rigola (Director of the Venice Biennale), Fabrice Murgia (Director of the Brussels National Theater) or the great belgian choreographer Sidi Larbi Chearkaoui. Within the national scope he has worked together with actors such as Lluis Homar, Julio Manrique and Sergi López or the contemporary circus company Baró d'Evel. In his desire to combine performing arts and cinematography, he created The One Project, which directs and produces jointly with Arts Santa Monica and Festival Temporada Alta. In 2015 he directed the first short film within this project, The Missing Part, selected at the Taiwan FilmFest, Paris Courts Devant or Tous Courts of Aix en Provence and winner of the First Prize at the festival Choreoscope, also getting a special mention at the festival FEC. He has also directed pieces for museums such as Arts Santa Monica in Barcelona and he is the directo and screenwriter of advertising spots at several international theater and music festivals that have led him to work in different parts of the world such as Greece, Shanghai or in the Philippines with the last campaign of San Miguel. His penultimate creation "The Song of The Goat" won the Laus Golden Award 2016 (ADG-FAD) of the audiovisual section and he just released the piece "The Pleasure Island" for the 25th edition of the festival Temporada Alta. It has been recently awarded with the Grand Laus 2017 (ADG-FAD). Furthermore, he co-directed the 2017 advertising campaign for the Centro de Arte Dramático Nacional in Madrid, along with the designer Javier Jaén (The New York Times, The New Yorker, National Geographic)
