Sonya J.F. Barnett

Sonya JF Barnett is a Certified Intimacy Coordinator for mainstream film & TV. In a former life, she was also an award-winning filmmaker of erotic feminist film. She was certified by the leading LA organization for intimacy professionals in film and television, Intimacy Professionals Association. She became a certified sexual health educator in San Francisco, has intense training in sexual therapy; and a Specialist degree in Sexual Diversity Studies. She is also pursuing her Master's in Counselling Psychology, with a focus on sex therapy. Sonya is an advocate for LGBTQ+ representation, and is Kink-aware, utilizing RACK (Risk Aware Consensual Kink), which helps make for safe & sane sensual filmmaking of BDSM scenes. She is also the co-founder of SlutWalk Toronto, a feminist movement combating slut-shaming and victim blaming in public & private institutions. Since then, satellite SlutWalks have appeared in almost 300 hundred cities worldwide, moving the discussion forward. Her feminist activism helps her work in Intimacy Coordination, an industry sprung from the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements. She lives in Toronto, Canada and has a clean conscience but a filthy mind.
