Edwin Scott is a retired Police Officer and private security expert known to fans for his work on the Syfy Channel TV Documentary, The Roswell Crash: Startling New Evidence (2002). He was born Edwin Thomas Scott Jr in Pampa, Texas, to Edwin Thomas Scott (1950-1999) and Sandra Kay Scott (1955-1997). He has been married to Deanna Scott since 1992. They have one son, John Scott, a daughter-in-law, Sierra Scott and a grandson William Scott . They also have a granddaughter, Allys Scott, who is the daughter of John Scott and Miranda Zanardi. He has a brother Tim Scott who resides in Sanford, Texas with his wife Michelle Scott. When Edwin was 17 years of age, his family moved to Borger, Texas where they would own and operate a construction company and a gun business until shortly before his parent's deaths. He attended High School in both Pampa and Borger, Texas but dropped out in his Senior year to help with the family businesses. He earned a GED a year later and continued to work in the family businesses until he turned 21. He then began his law enforcement and private security careers, while his brother Tim continued to work in the family's construction company. Edwin worked in private security and law enforcement over the next 18 years, earning a Master Peace Officer Certification from the State of Texas. In 2001, he moved his family to Roswell, NM where he managed and directed a branch office for Future Security and Investigations. A year later he got his first real acting experience when his company was contracted to provide security for the Syfy Channel's TV Documentary, The Roswell Crash: Startling New Evidence (2002). He not only directed the security services for the production, but was also featured in the show with speaking and acting scenes. Following his TV debut, he returned to Texas where he continued his law enforcement and private security careers. During that time, he also served for four years in the Texas State Guard, a branch of the Texas Military Forces, and completed both an Associate's and a Bachelor's Degree. Edwin received a disabling injury while working undercover in 2009 and medically retired from law enforcement and private security. He and his wife still reside in Borger and now enjoy spending time with their grandchildren in their retirement.
