Michelle Godoy Priske is a Mexican director living in Vancouver, Canada. Her fearless nature brought her to direct her first feature film debut, "13 Steps," featuring Raoul Trujillo and Jackie Cruz, at the young age of 22. "13 Steps" was entirely filmed in the southern interior of British Columbia. Born into the vibrant city of Guadalajara, Mexico, Priske's work is influenced by the rich world of magical realism. Her work shows surreal elements within realistic narratives, layering her craft in symbolism and giving audiences a better understanding of reality. Being a survivor and immigrant, Priske has used it to fuel her passion to start the "hard conversations" through film and other mediums.
