Rebekah Downs

Rebekah Downs plays the lead in the new film, Where the Red Fox Lies, which will be screened at film festivals all over the world in 2014. In the film, Rebekah plays Mara, a distraught young woman who struggles with a dark secret that she keeps hidden from those closest to her. This is the second collaboration between Red Fox director Jeff Ray and Rebekah. Their first project, a music video for world-renowned Icelandic band Sigur Rós, also starred Rebekah and received mass critical acclaim. She also recently played the lead in Invodo's dramatic short film The Parking Lot. Rebekah graduated with a degree in Communication of Arts in Media with aspirations of working behind-the-scenes on films. It was only after serving as a production assistant on a friend's short film, where she was helping as a production assistant, that she finally realized her true desire to be an actor. Shortly thereafter, in 2011, she began taking acting classes in Austin, TX and spent some time in LA working with acting coach Will Wallace. In addition to film, Rebekah has always had a love for music and grew up singing in various musical competitions and theatre productions. Rebekah's father served in the Air Force and instilled in her a love for travel and a desire to seek out new experiences whenever possible. She looks forward to every new project that comes her way and finding truth in whatever role she plays next.
