Teymur Hajiyev

Born in Baku, Azerbaijan, Teymur Hajiyev established FIL Production in 2013. Producing more than a dozen shorts films, including "Torn" by Academy Award Oscar© winner Elmar Imanov (premiered at Cannes, Quinzaine des Realisateurs, 2014), Teymur premiered his directing debut short, "The Wound", at the Palm Springs ShortsFest in 2013. His short "Shanghai, Baku" premiered at Tampere Film Festival (2016) and his third short, "salt, pepper to taste" premiered at International Film Festival Rotterdam (2019). The inclusion of "Towards Evening" in the Semaine de la Critique section (first Azeri film in history of "Critic's Week" programming) at Cannes Film Festival makes Teymur the only Azerbaijani-filmmaker to have been at Cannes both as a director and a producer.
