Irene Thornton

Born in Rochester, New York to Paul Victor Smith, Sr. and Leota Virginia (Barnes) Smith. A graduate of Sperry High School (now Rush-Henrietta High School) in Henrietta, New York. Acted in various plays throughout high school and college. Professional credits include: The Theater Project at The Majestic Theater; New Century Theatre; Hartford Stage Company; Miniature Theatre of Chester; Hampshire College and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Founder of the Belchertown Performing Arts Center. Theater arts teacher at Pioneer Valley Performing Arts (PVPA) Charter School and Paulo Freire Social Justice Charter School.
