All-rounder Raj Parmar is a trained dancer, actor and presenter. With diverse interests, but a general passion for performance and theatre, the multi-talented businessman has pursued and ultimately achieved success in several specifically chosen fields. Raj Parmar grew up surrounded by media, with connections to leading radio station, Sunrise. From an early age, he was offered intimate exposure into the media world and by the tender age of ten, he had already gained the relevant experience and training for a presenting role. Building on his previous experience, Raj pursued a career in radio presenting, hosting the popular Urban Masti Show on Sunrise Radio Bradford. Through his work as a presenter, Raj was given the opportunity to partake in various tasks, including interviewing luminaries from the Bollywood and Lollywood industries, as well as hosting main stages at live events, organising concerts and even managing and marketing the station. His diligence and natural flair for radio work led him to becoming one of the youngest directors in the broadcasting industry. Not content with achieving success in just one of his interests, alongside his career, Raj has consistently worked hard to achieve success and recognition in both modelling and dancing. Strutting his stuff down major British Asian catwalk shows, Raj achieved great success modelling for events organised by Asian Fashion Magazine and various corporate fashion shows. Performance is a major part of the multi-faceted Raj and so, after carving a firm career in radio, Raj began to pursue his other passions, specifically dance. Raj has been involved in all the leading melas as a dancer. Since 1996, Raj has been the mainstay of Bradford Mela. Raj's unique and captivating choreography has gained a great deal of attention over the years, resulting in choreography jobs for several popular British Asian music videos, as well as a popular MTV show. Recognising a niche that had not yet been filled, Raj opened his own Bollywood dance academy. In 1999, Spice Entertainment was born as a result of Raj's love of dance and performance. Eager to share his talents with a new generation of Bollywood dancers, Raj's academy opened its doors to youngsters across all ages. Alongside hosting training courses at the academy, he regularly conducts many dance workshops at various schools, community centres and arts organisations such as Kala Sangham.
