Joel Derefield

Born in southern California, Joel has lived most of his life (so far) in the Pacific Northwest where he has been involved in local community service, local theater and independent film. His first award winning film, an animated short called "Black Scratch Fever" made the rounds on the independent short film circuit in the early 1980's. He became involved with community theater as an actor in the late 1990's and continues to this day. He became involved in local independent film as an actor in 2008, and has since starred or supplied supporting roles in both shorts and feature films. He currently lives on his farm in the small Northwest town of Yelm, Washington with his two dogs Olive and Marley.
