Claudia Murdoch

Claudia is an independent film producer in New York. She produced Peter Azen's first feature film, Cacaya, an Official Selection of the Montreal World Film Festival 2017 and Rio de Janeiro's Festival Ecrã 2018, and she was an Executive Producer on Natasha Kermani's sci-fi feature film, Imitation Girl, which premiered at Cinequest Film & VR Festival 2017, before screening at the Dances With Films Festival in Hollywood, Fright Fest in London, and being nominated by the Leonardo Da Vinci Society for Best Film and Best Acting Performance Female at the Milan International Film Festival in the same year, before finding distribution through Epic Film Group's Dread Central Presents label and receiving a vinyl record and cd deal from Burning Witches Records for the film's soundtrack. Most recently, Claudia produced Bryan Powers' short film, Time is the Longest Distance, which has screened at 26 U.S. and European festivals since premiering in April 2017. Most recently, she produced The Invaders, a short film written and directed by Mateo Márquez, which premiered in April 2018 at Vail Film Festival, and has screened at 28 film festivals in seven countries, including Vail Film Festival, Woods Hole Film Festival, Fantasia International Film Festival, and British Film Institute London Film Festival, and was awarded Best Horror at the Southern States Indie Fan Film Fest. Both of her films, Imitation Girl and The Invaders, have been nominated for the Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards 2019. Claudia is a co-founder of Cup of Joe Film, and a member of New York Women in Film and Television (NYWIFT) and SAG-Aftra, and works as a marketing co-ordinator for the Brooklyn Film Festival.
