Sergio Jimenez

Sergio Jimenez was born on August 21, 1981 in Alcoy, Alicante, Spain. At the age of 17, he moved to Barcelona to study at University and completed a Telecommunications Engineering degree. At the age of 21 he started his first company developing telecommunications projects and several years later co-founded in 2004 23Lunes Animation Studio, where he was managing director for over 11 years. In all that time the company participated in many commercial as well as film and broadcast projects under Sergio's leadership. During this time Sergio also completed a Masters in Strategic Business Administration and several courses in Communication and PR. In 2015 Sergio leaves the company 23lunes and re-starts his career as a freelance producer for other studios in Spain as well as actively participating in the development of b'Ars VFX festival in Barcelona and collaborating with the University of La Salle Campus Barcelona to launch a new VFX and Animation Degree. At the end of 2017 Sergio moves to Scotland to work as a Senior Producer for Axis Studios, where he had the opportunity to work in a variety of projects including AAA video-game cinematic cut-scenes, episodic animated series, commercials and different pitches and proposals. After 2 intense years at Axis, Sergio moves to Bournemouth in September 2019, where he currently works at Outposst VFX as a Senior Producer managing Film and Broadcast projects.
