Renee Wood was born in New York. Her career began when she started doing theatre in New York. Her theatrical debut performance in the play "The Christmas Carol" earned her rave reviews by The New York Times and critiques said, "Renee Wood, articulated her lines with the clarity of Jane Fonda." She has studied acting at the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in NYC. Renee has done theatre, films, and also has been a news correspondent/host for SI Cable and has hosted venues for philanthropic endeavors along with event for the Grammys. Renee Wood was awarded the "20 under 40" Leadership Award from The Staten Island Economic Development Corporation. This prestigious accolade is awarded to Staten Island's brightest young stars who work and/or live in the borough and are making a difference in their respective field.
