Alec Mackenzie

Alec is a Scottish producer with Silver Wings Film Ltd responsible for development and production of the feature film A Pair of Silver Wings. Inspired by real people and events and based on the novel with the same name by the Sunday Times Bestselling Author James Holland, the film is scheduled to be released in 2022 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Siege of Malta as well as pay tribute to all those who today still carry the wounds of war. Previously as an executive producer Alec worked with Pukka Films Ltd on the BAFTA and BIFA award winning feature film Kajaki - The True Story (in the US, Kilo Two Bravo), which premiered in London in November 2014 followed by theatrical release in the UK at the end of that month. He was responsible for raising production finance and led on liaison with the Hashemite Royal Court, the Jordanian Government, the Royal Film Commission and the Jordan Armed Forces. Alec is a Principal and Director of Mackenzie Event Management Ltd (MEM), a privately owned SME, registered in Scotland, and supplying a range of specialist business functions within the event management, PR, media and corporate communications market segment. A former cavalry officer, business leader and advisor to a Head of State, he brings many years experience and understanding of the Middle East. On behalf of MEM Alec is teamed with Pukka Films as producer for the feature film, State of Fear, scheduled for production in 2021, as well as working with them as a producer for a video-based training package derived from Kajaki. He is also an executive producer with Rob Roy Films for their feature films Whistleblowers and Paradise, with Centenary Films for their feature film Camp 21, and with Anemoia Films for the short film Sound of the Somme.
