Biography

Originally from New York, Janee Lee Trotman began her training as an actress at New York University and H.B. Studios where she learned Meisner, monologue and improvisation technique. She continued her training in Los Angeles under the tutelage of Bill Duke and Vernee Watson as well as other teachers where she learned scene study, on camera and audition techniques. Her career began in New York, performing in Off-Broadway plays in places such as Harlem Theatre where she appeared in How Ya Livin', Manhattan's West Side's Bard at the Bar where she performed in Shakespeare's King Lear and in Brooklyn at the Billie Holliday Theatre, playing the lead role in Holla If You Hear Me. Janee loves to perform both comedy and drama. In Los Angeles, she has done voiceovers for the television shows "That's So Raven" and "Cory in the House" and print work for Uber Trucking, as well as appearing in commercials. She has a passion for singing and working with children.
