Marina O'Shea was born in Lambeth, London to Kathleen O'Shea and Robert W C Hillier. She first started acting when she was discovered by an actresses' daughter at the age of 9 years old. She went on to Anne Slacke's Stage school in Hastings, training in Acting, Dancing and Singing until the age of 12. After secondary school she attended Sussex Downs College in Eastbourne where she gained a Triple Distinction in Performing Arts, training under top industry teachers. She went on to train in Drama at the University of Exeter. During her time in Exeter she was cast in the first ever Devon based feature film, The Forewarning (2011). Directed by Andy Robinson of Innervison Films, it premiered at the City's main Arts Centre, Exeter Phoenix in November 2011. Alongside several other projects, Marina then went on to form "O&O Comedy Duo". Within this two woman act she has toured her own comedy writing around the UK and created a short film series, shorts of which have been selected and featured for the London Short Film Festival, Cambridge Strawberry Shorts and other film festivals around the UK. She also released two singles with the band Secrets for September in 2011, one as a collaboration with Roger O'Donnell from The Cure, that went on to reach Number 2 in the Rock Chart. Marina continued touring the UK with her comedy duo until 2017, having recently performed a successful run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2016. She took time off from touring in 2018 in order to launch her own web series of comedy shorts, including Holidays at Home with Linda Duvet (2018), Wetsuit Wendy (2018), "Nature with David Batternberg", "Brian's Dance Troupe", and "A R R T".
