Debra Eckloff is an actor, comedian and writer based in Los Angeles. Born in Sweetwater, Tennessee, Debra has been a Los Angeles "native" since the age of three. She grew up in Bell Gardens and was crowned Bell Gardens High School Christmas Queen in her senior year. Fast forward to 2009. After her youngest child graduated from high school, she sought to study acting in Hollywood. She took a scene study class and then stumbled into an improv class in early 2010 with Patrick Bristow-which struck a chord. Improv-trained by Patrick Bristow and Jayne Entwistle of Improvatorium, she considers herself lucky to have shared the stage with so many extraordinary and funny people. Debra began performing on Hollywood stages as an improviser in 2012. The highlight to her improv career came in 2013 when she was chosen as an original member of Improvatorium's The Next Generation. Through the weekly workshops, and alongside several wonderful comedians, she explored comedic and dramatic characters and contexts and began to know her own acting bones. She workshopped and performed with the The Next Generation throughout 2013. Beginning in January 2014, she turned her attention toward the camera. Her first TV appearance was in the pilot episode of Thinkfactory Media's A Séance With...Lisa Rinna that aired on Lifetime in June 2014. Throughout 2014 and 2015, Debra studied and auditioned. She was cast in many student productions and worked across the film genres with student filmmakers and crew from AFI, USC, LAFS, NYFA, Chapman's Dodge College, UCLA Extension, LACC and Golden West. This experience helped her to transition to professional jobs and she is grateful to have worked with so many wonderful students. She continues to train as both an actor and comedian and is represented by Apple Talent Group.
