Jacob Storms is an actor and writer, known for Steven Soderbergh and Gregory Jacobs' Amazon Original Series, Red Oaks. Storms is also known for his portrayal of young Tennessee Williams in, Tennessee Rising: The Dawn of Tennessee Williams, directed by Alan Cumming for the stage. Jacob received the United Solo Award for Best One-Man Show for his performance of Tennessee Rising at United Solo Fest, the largest solo play festival in the world. He is also the onscreen narrator for the Mercy Corps Action Center's west coast headquarters briefing video, a title he shares with fellow east coast headquarters narrator, Tina Fey. In 2014, Storms was asked by groundbreaking, multi-media installation artist Wang Jianwei to perform in his North American solo exhibition debut, Time Temple at the Guggenheim Museum. Jacob has also worked with Amy Heckerling, Alan Cumming, Hal Hartley, Greg Jacobs, Taylor Negron, Karine Plantadit, renowned concert pianist Byron Janis and Thomas Lauderdale of Pink Martini. Past performances include, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Bill T. Jones' New York Live Arts Theater Off-Broadway, The Hollywood Bowl, Disney Concert Hall, BAM as well as the Provincetown and St. Louis Tennessee Williams Festivals. At age 18, Storms performed Doug Wright's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning thirty-five character solo play, I Am My Own Wife, to great acclaim at the CoHo Theater in Portland, Oregon, and remains to this day the youngest actor in the world to have ever performed I Am My Own Wife.
