David Ellis Heyman

I am a former Calgary Herald political news reporter and political aide who wants to write about my experiences in those fields and other subjects. I've already written and produced two short plays that were performed at the Nanaimo Fringe Festival and both won Pick of the Fringe -- Digby & Glass (2020) and The Great Might-Have-Been (2021). Digby & Glass was later performed in Calgary in September 2021 online by Wil Knoll. I have also shot Digby & Glass as a short film and re-titled it "Don't Ask." I'm submitting it to film festivals now. I have also written and produced the comedy "Bathsheba and the Books" which was performed at Fringe festivals in Vancouver and Kelowna in 2022 and will be performed at the 2023 Edmonton Fringe Festival.
