Saroo Brierley (born 1981) is an Indian-born Australian businessman who was separated from his birth mother and found her after a separation of 25 years. His story generated significant international media attention, especially in Australia and in India. Brierley has written a book about his experiences, A Long Way Home. A film, Lion, is scheduled for release in 2016 and will star Nicole Kidman and Dev Patel based on his book.
